RR 25.11.33 cartoon re PW work, MRC

Pencil-drawn 1933 cartoon, showing a train passing a group of track workers. Lurking over the track workers is 'the ever-present shadow': the figure of Death, holding a scythe and wearing robes marked 'death and mutilation'. On board the train, two railway directors say 'why should we pay those fellows more that 38 shillings per week? Anyone can do their job.'
